About
Data centers are being built faster than any public record keeps up with, and the people most affected by one are usually the last to hear. The filings exist. They are just scattered across federal permit databases, county GIS servers, assessor parcels and grid queues, in formats nobody reads for fun.
This site collects them into one place and shows the document behind every claim. That is the whole idea. Other trackers have more rows; what they do not have is the receipt.
What is here
4,091 campuses across 768 counties, 201 documents, and a page for every campus, county, state, operator and utility. Everything is free and nothing is held back. There is no login, no paywall and no email gate.
What it will not do
- It will not tell you a data center hurt your house price. The evidence does not support a clean answer, so we publish both findings and neither conclusion.
- It will not tell you a specific campus raised your bill. Rate cases and data centers both appear here because both are public, and sequence is not causation.
- It will not put a pin near a house on a guess. Where we know only the county, we say only the county.
- It will not name an owner we cannot prove. Most records here say "not independently traced" and that is the truthful answer.
Who runs it
An independent, self-funded project. An independent aggregator of public records. Not a consultant, not a valuer, not a law firm, not an environmental assessor.
There is no funder and no client behind this, which is worth stating because in this subject everyone reasonably asks. If that ever changes it will be on this page before it is anywhere else.
Tell us when we are wrong
We will get something wrong about a real property. When that happens, tell us and the speed of the fix is the only reputation worth having here.
