What makes this different
Every claim points at a document.
Other trackers have rows. This one has receipts: 201 archived documents stand behind the fields on these pages, and each page shows which one backs which claim, with its date.
We say how well we know where it is
669 campuses are drawn to an assessor parcel and 131 are known only to the county. Those get no pin at all, because putting one near somebody's house on a guess is the one thing here that can do real harm.
We do not pretend to know the owner
11.9% of campuses are traced to a company through a document. 17.2% carry a name a directory attributed, and those pages say so instead of printing it as the owner.
We say what we have not collected
Coverage is deeper in some states than others, and every page carries the depth for its own jurisdiction. An empty result is reported as an absence of records, never as proof that nothing is there.
