What this is

An independent compilation of public records about data center facilities in the United States, published free. An independent aggregator of public records. Not a consultant, not a valuer, not a law firm, not an environmental assessor.

What it is not

It is not advice. Not legal, financial, property, environmental or engineering advice. Do not make a purchase, a sale, an objection or an investment decision on this site alone. Read the source documents, which every page links to, and take proper advice.

Accuracy

We take care and we still expect errors. Public records contain mistakes, records go stale, and matching records to sites involves judgement. Statuses, owners, capacities and locations are given with the evidence behind them and with a stated precision, and none of it is a warranty. Where we say we do not know, we do not know.

Using the data

The bulk download is offered under the Open Database License 1.0, described on the data page. Attribute it, and share derived databases alike. Source material from third parties carries its own terms and those are listed on the methodology page.

Please do not hammer the site with automated requests; take the file instead, which is faster for you and cheaper for us.

Third-party material

Some records come from public directories and are shown with attribution for reference. Those sources keep their own rights and terms, and nothing here grants you rights to their material beyond what they allow. Base map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors and Protomaps.

Changes

Records and these terms change as the data does. The version on this page is the one that applies.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
