State tax incentives for data centers

Many states exempt data center equipment from sales tax if a project clears a floor on investment and jobs. What almost no state publishes is how much a given project received.

Texas and Wisconsin, for example, withhold the amount by statute. So the honest thing this dataset can hold is the registration, not the value: which entity registered, under which programme, from which date. We use those registrations to link a filing company to an operator, which is one of the few places the public record actually gives that link away.
